From the brand "Happy Baby, Happy Family", we are committed to the well-being of mothers and babies. As a mom myself, I wanted our products to reflect my enthusiasm for keeping babies content and happy.
I started babywearing when my first child was born, as it was the only way to keep her content and happy. However, I was never satisfied with the products I used, so I began making my own wraps and slings when my second child was born. The existing options were either too stretchy, too stiff, or too hot, and I couldn't find any designs I liked.
Our slings and wraps are specially woven for babywearing, with fabrics that will not stretch over time and hold the baby firmly in place, yet have just the right amount of give for easy and comfortable wear. They are all individually handwoven and hand-dyed with plant-based dyes, using 100% natural fibers that are breathable, comfortable, and lightweight.
I am deeply passionate about babywearing and strongly believe in its benefits. When a baby can see the world from where their parents do, their senses are stimulated, and their attention is engaged, all while feeling safe and secure. This extra stimulation benefits the child's cognitive and social development, and the close proximity helps develop a sense of security and trust.
Hip Baby Wrap is a small, women-owned business in Miami, Florida. Our wraps and slings are all individually handmade in cooperatives under fair trade practices in India, supporting small villages and providing jobs for mothers and families to work from their homes. All of our products are made with non-toxic dyes, locally sourced high-grade cotton, and electricity-free manufacturing.
